Chain
Standard chain is of pitch size 520 (5/8” x ¼”), length 108 (39 tooth rear sprocket), or 110 (41 tooth rear sprocket).
Chain slack should be 30 – 40mm, measured at the centre of the lower chain run.
Sprockets
Standard sprockets on the Traveller, Sport and later Tours (95 onwards) are 15 front and 39 rear.
Early Tours (pre 95 and fitted with a 130/80 rear tyre) were fitted with a 15 front and a 43 tooth rear sprocket.
Many riders of later Skorpions lower the gearing of their bikes by fitting a 43 tooth sprocket. It’s a matter of tyre size, riding style, and personal preference.

The front sprocket is a standard Yamaha part, so plenty of pattern parts available (Look for Yamaha XTZ 660 and SZR 660)
